Benchmark Literacy Levels: Pk1 - 6th grade
KIBO (Grades 1–4): Introduction to robotics and basic programming using hands-on robots.
Scratch (Grades 5–6): A block-based programming platform where students create digital projects while strengthening computational thinking.
UFLI: Science of
Reading
Levels: Kinder - 3rd gradeUFLI is an evidence-based program that supports early reading development. Integrated into English and Spanish instruction, it develops phonological awareness and foundational reading skills, aligning with the latest research in literacy.
MAP Growth
Assessments
Levels: Kinder - 12th GradeStudents are assessed three times a year in reading, language usage, and math. MAP Growth provides real-time, adaptive data to guide instruction and track progress from early childhood through high school.
STEAM & Coding Levels: 1st - 6th grade

Judaic Studies
Levels: Pk1 - 6th gradeAt MDA, Judaic Studies is the heartbeat of our school, with 14 courses immersing students in Torah, Jewish history, traditions, values, Hebrew, and a deep connection to Israel. Our program combines deep textual study with hands-on experiences, celebrations, and acts of kindness—making Jewish learning meaningful and alive in daily life.
Torah League
Levels: 1st - 6th gradeA values-based recognition system where teachers and rabbis reward students for acts of kindness and Jewish values. Students collect points to redeem fun prizes while learning to live by our shared values.
The Arts Program
Levels: Pk1 - 6th gradeAt MDA, creativity isn’t just encouraged—it’s celebrated. Our art programs give students the tools, skills, and inspiration to express themselves, explore their talents, and discover new ways of seeing the world. Classes include art and music.
Social Service
Levels: 1st - 12th gradeLATET, meaning "to give" in Hebrew, is MDA’s social service program. Each grade partners with a different organization to create hands-on community service experiences that foster empathy, responsibility, and leadership.

Enrichment
Levels: 1st - 12th GradeOur sports program offers a range of team sports that promote teamwork, discipline, and physical well-being.

After-School Sports & Enrichment Program
Learning at MDA doesn’t stop when the bell rings. Our After-School Sports & Enrichment program gives students the chance to discover passions, build skills, and connect with friends beyond the classroom.
The Arts at
MDA
Creativity takes center stage at MDA. From 1st to 6th grade, students explore art through hands-on, project-based learning connected to each grade’s unit of study, culminating in our annual Art Exhibit.
In Music, students learn to read music and practice instruments like keyboard, drums, and percussion, showcasing their progress in our year-end Music Performance. Both programs come together in Kaleidoscope — a celebration of art, music, history, and creativity — along with special events like the Wax Museum, Time Travelers, and our annual Talent Show.

PATHWAY: College Preparatory Program
Students have access to advanced coursework, including 14 AP courses across multiple subjects, as well as advanced options for core subjects such as Math and English—allowing them to claim more AP credits without the need for external programs.

Personalized college counseling
Personalized college counseling begins in Grade 9 through our partnership with Zinkerz and dedicated in-house support, including aptitude testing, tailored guidance, and step-by-step preparation for the admissions process.
Spark Team:
Psychology & Academic Support
The SPARK Team (Special Education and Psychology for Academic Resources and Knowledge) provides tailored support to help each student thrive.
With dedicated psychologists at each level (Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary) and caseload managers for students requiring follow-up, the team ensures consistent academic and emotional support across all ages.
